One common theme we’ve heard again and again is that so many of us are looking for community—a place to connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of caregiving and parenting.
With that in mind, we’re thrilled to introduce CaPE Support Groups — safe, inclusive spaces where members can share experiences, ask questions, and find strength in one another.
These groups are designed around the core experiences represented in our membership, offering connection across different stages and circumstances of caregiving and parenthood. Whether you join one or several, we hope you find belonging, understanding, and encouragement in every conversation.

Have an Idea?
If you do not feel like you identify with any of these groups, please reach out – we are always open to new ideas to support our community
You can find each of these support groups within our main CaPE Teams Channel. Each group functions like an open chat room — a space to share challenges, ask questions, or offer advice and encouragement based on your own experiences.
By participating in these conversations, you agree to follow our Rules of Engagement, which help ensure every space remains respectful, inclusive, and supportive. You can review the full document below or find it pinned at the top of each channel in the Files tab. If you want to share resources in the Files tab you are also welcome to do so!

Rules of Engagement
1. Confidentiality & Respect
What’s shared here, stay here. These groups are meant to be judgment-free zones. Please respect the privacy of others and do not share personal stories or details outside of this space. Take what you have learned but leave the personal details out of respect. Everyone chooses to be a parent and/or caregiver in their own way. Please respect other styles of parenting and caregiving in this space.
2. Kindness First
Assume positive intent. Offer compassion before advice. Everyone’s situation is unique—what works for one person may not work for another, and that’s okay. These channels are for sharing experiences and emotional support, not professional counseling or medical guidance. Please refrain from offering diagnostic or prescriptive advice.
3. Inclusive & Non-Judgmental Language
Please remember that this is a global space that is inclusive of many different family types. Use language that honors all family structures, identities, and caregiving situations. Avoid assumptions about gender roles, family makeup, or cultural norms.
4. Reach Out for Help When Needed
While this community can offer empathy and shared experience, it is not a substitute for professional help. If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek support through available Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), a licensed therapist, or local mental health resources.
5. Be Present, Be Patient, Be Kind
We’re all doing our best to balance care for others and ourselves. Give grace—to yourself and each other.
Tips and Tricks for Engaging
- When someone starts a conversation in a support group channel, others can reply directly to their post to create a thread. This helps keep related comments together so discussions stay organized and easy to follow. To browse existing threads or find a specific topic, click the chat bubbles icon in the top-right corner of the channel. This will open a list of all active threads within that support group.
- We recognize that many of us may identify with more than one support group, and that our needs can shift over time. Rather than restricting access, all groups are open so you can join the conversations that feel most relevant to you. If seeing every group listed feels overwhelming, you can easily hide the ones that don’t apply to you right now. Simply hover over the date beside the channel name, click the ellipsis (…), and select “Hide.” You can always unhide a channel later when it becomes relevant again, by click “See all channels” at the bottom of your channel list. From there, you can manage which channels are visible or hidden — and view a brief description of each support group to help you decide which ones you’d like to follow.
- Be kind, stay open, and remember — your village is right here, waiting to welcome you, so go introduce yourself today!
